I’ve been playing for a long time, too long actually. The first time I used this I knew it was the paddle for me. The weight is right, good grip, and a nice solid feel. It really can put a killer spin on the ball too. I also own a lazer by Killerspin and I can tell this requires a little more finesse but once you get used to it you can place the balls exactly where you want. I can often aim for the tape and hit it. It does require some getting used to. I play at work and others who tried this didn’t like it. It has more power and so if you don’t finesse the shot it’s easy to hit it long. After a week of playing, though, that completely went away. Yes, I was mocked for that week but I knew I was holding a quality instrument, and it just needed to become part of my hand. Now when I serve I try to hit the ball with the bottom half of the paddle, it gives a nice top spin and stays really low and fast over the net. Few people at work can return it, and if they do it’s usually a lob that can easily be spiked back.
